I started my career in marketing just under 4 years ago as an Apprentice Photo Editor here at Miller Metcalfe. Within 1 year, I had worked my way up to a Junior Graphic Designer, eventually becoming a Senior Graphic Designer & Marketer. Out of work I spend my time socialising with friends, binge watching shows on Netflix and indulging in my addiction of online shopping.

In your opinion, what sets miller Metcalfe apart from other estate agents.

For me, what sets Miller Metcalfe apart from other estate agents are the people at the heart of the company. I have never worked with a more genuine, hard working and friendly group of people. It is a real family feeling here and this shows in our reputation. When you come to Miller Metcalfe, you know you are speaking to a trusting friendly face, instead of the business machines you can find at other agents.

What do you want to achieve in the next 3 years?

So far I have worked at Miller Metcalfe for almost 4 years and in that time I have worked my way up from an apprentice position to a managing position, picking up heaps of knowledge and experience along the way. When I first started, I would have never have imagined id be in the position I am today, so in regards to what I think I will achieve in the next 3 years, the possibilities are endless!

Do you feel like you are learning at work? What are the new things you learned lately? What are the areas you want to learn about?

Every day I fell as though I am learning something new. In the marketing industry, there is an endless stream of new things to learn, meaning you never have a boring day. Working so closely with such a talented team of editors, creators and developers, gives us the chance of learning from each other.

How do you balance work and social life?

This can sometimes be difficult when working in marketing as a lot of the time, you have to be available 24/7 when faced with deadlines and, especially with social media, having to maintain our sites and pages day and night. But, when you love what you do, it becomes more of a hobby when out of work. I am lucky that I only work 9 – 5:30 weekdays, so im free to have the weekends and evenings for my social life.  ?

If you could have a coffee anywhere in the world, with someone of your choice, where would you go and who with?

Im not one for drinking brews (which you’d be surprised seeing as I work in an office!) but if I could have a drink with anyone and anywhere, it would be probably be Zac Efron on a paradise island somewhere in the Caribbean… I’m sure you can figure out why! ?

Best social media platform in your opinion?

In my opinion it is definitely Instagram. Ive been known to spend hours and hours just scrolling throughout my day.

Who inspires you in the team? Whose opinions do you respect? What have they done?

Every single member of my team inspires me to be the best version of myself. It is great to work in a team that pushes me to better myself every day, who respect my opinions and spur me on on the days im lacking I imagination.
