Miller Metcalfe is aware of the increasing impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our approach to COVID-19 is to focus on ways to minimise risk to colleagues and clients, and to safeguard business operations so that we can continue to provide the best possible service to customers and clients.

We are carefully monitoring the situation continually and are following advice from government and medical organisations such as the NHS and Public Health England about what our response should be.

We are committed to taking whatever appropriate action is advised and we will regularly update our approach as the situation develops further.

We have taken the decision to temporarily close our branches to the public to protect the wellbeing of our staff and clients. If you need to meet face-face with a member of staff, pre-booked appointments must be made.

Emergency ‘work from home’ measures have been implemented, and our dedicated staff will continue to provide a great service from home.

Our opening hours remain the same and we are contactable via telephone, email, live chat and social media, between the hours of 9am-5:30pm Mon-Thurs, 9am-5pm Fridays, and 9am–3pm Saturdays. We are now offering Virtual Valuations which can be booked over the phone as well as online valuations, and all of our properties can be viewed on our site

Virtual Valuations

To keep our staff and clients safe with have introduced a new way of valuing. We can now conduct a full valuation of your home via Skype, FaceTime, Zoom and more.

How does it work? To book a Virtual Valuation, simply book an online valuation. Our team will then contact you to confirm your appointment and give you the choice of a virtual or drive by valuation.

There will be no accompanying viewings, only virtual viewings will take place on empty properties.

Our staff have been provided with disposable gloves and masks to be worn during viewings to ensure there is no direct contact to surfaces that could potentially be infected.  This measure has been put into place to protect both, our staff and our clients.

If you should need to cancel, please let us know in advance.

New applicants and vendors will be asked the appropriate questions to ensure the best measures are taken to avoid any potential further spread of the virus.

  • If they have travelled outside of the country within the last 14 days
  • If they have been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of the country within the last 14 days
  • If they have any of the symptoms associated with (COVID-19)

We are very aware of vulnerable clients within our portfolio and will offer extra assistance and checks where possible.

Any member of staff who shows any symptoms will be required to follow the government measures and self-isolate for the recommended period of 14 days. Please note that this will not affect their work, and business will continue as usual as we continue to provide the best service to our customers under these unfortunate circumstances.

Through multiple sites and a strong technology platform, Miller Metcalfe is able to maintain critical business processes while we assess the effect and risk of any outbreak. After guidance from public health authorities, it has now become necessary to put social distancing into practice. We have now put our home working policy into operation and will continue to provide the best possible service for our customers.
