Burnley is very fortunate to have Blackburn and Clitheroe only a stones through away. It has close links to buses and trains. Local amenities include Charter Walk Shopping Centre and Towneley Hall.

Burnley is 20 miles east of neighbouring Preston, 21 miles north of Manchester and roughly 21 miles west of Bradford.
