Why Move To Horwich?

Horwich is very fortunate to have Bolton and Chorley only a stones through away. It has close links to buses and trains. Local amenities include Middlebrook Retail Park, University of Bolton Stadium (Home to Bolton Wanderers Football Club) and Bolton Golf Club.

Horwich lies at the Southern edge of the West Pennine Moors, 5.3 miles South-East of Chorley, 5.8 miles from Bolton, and 15 miles North-West of Manchester. It is part of the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester. Horwich’s streams, which flow from the moors, made it an important player in the industrial revolution as they have harnessed to power the industry. Since then, the town has seen dramatic urban regeneration, not least with the University of Bolton Stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers football club.

Rivington Pike, just over two miles North of Horwich, is a popular gentle walk. The footpaths will lead you through tranquil woodland and into the Rivington Terraced Gardens, a place that is always attracting visitors with its lush natural beauty and fun events and activities for all ages and activities.
